Our Mission

Natural Medical Solutions will use our unique skills, knowledge, and principles of naturopathic medicine toward the betterment of the individual and community health and wellbeing. We will provide an accessible, family-centered practice with a special enthusiasm for Spiritual, Mental, and Physical Health care. Through ongoing personal and professional development, we will provide expert health guidance built upon a foundation of caring and committed relationships.

Natural Medical Solutions Wellness Center is integrative in the literal sense. Naturopathic medicine, holistic medicine and homeopathic medicine each answer different questions, and we draw on all three depending on what a person needs rather than committing to one. Our practitioners have trained in each and practiced with them for years.

Our Process

Naturopathic, holistic and homeopathic practitioners draw on both traditional knowledge and modern science, and much of that work goes into prevention. The starting assumption is that a person is one connected system, so a symptom is read as a signal about the whole rather than a problem sitting on its own, across mind, body and spirit. The aim is to understand what is driving the symptom instead of quieting it and moving on. Naturopathic medicine, holistic medicine and homeopathic medicine rest on six shared principles:

• First, do no harm (primum non nocere). Start with the least invasive option that could reasonably work.
• Respect the healing power of nature (vis medicatrix naturae). The body has its own repair machinery. A great deal of the job is clearing whatever is standing in its way.
• Identify and treat the cause (tolle causam). Symptoms are the smoke. The work is finding the fire.
• Treat the whole person (tolle totum). Physical, mental, emotional, genetic, environmental and social factors all feed into one picture.
• Doctor as teacher (docere). You should leave understanding your own health well enough to make decisions about it.
• Prevention. Address risk before it becomes a diagnosis someone else has to manage.

Those six were formally agreed in 1989 and still serve as the shared foundation of the profession. They are also the reason a first appointment here runs as long as it does, because none of them can be honored in fifteen minutes.

Natural Medical Solutions give the Glory to God for giving us the opportunity of applying Dr. Ravello’s gift of healing to the practice of integrative medicine. We help those that have had little or limited results from modern medical treatments in dealing with a variety of today’s health issues that can be treated with natural remedies, and lifestyle counseling to help the individual and community as a whole.

How We Work

Most people who call us have already been somewhere else. They have a folder of lab results that came back normal, a symptom that has not gone anywhere, and the distinct feeling that nobody has looked at the whole file at once. That is usually where we start.

The first job is history. What changed, and when. What you eat, how you sleep, what the stress load has been, what medications and supplements are in the mix, what runs in the family. From there we decide whether functional testing would answer a specific question worth paying to answer, and we say so plainly when it would not. The plan that follows is built on what those two things show, not on a protocol applied to everyone with the same complaint.

We work alongside the doctors you already see rather than in place of them. If you are on prescription medication, that stays between you and the prescriber. Nothing here asks you to choose sides.

What to Expect at Your First Visit

Plan on a long appointment. Longer than you are used to, and deliberately so, since the useful detail almost never fits on an intake form. You will do a lot of the talking. We will ask about things that seem unrelated, because in practice they often are not.

You leave with a clear picture of what we think is going on, what we want to rule in or out, and what to start doing this week. Costs are set out before anything begins, and our fees and insurance page explains how payment works and what to ask your carrier.

No two visits look alike, but a handful of concerns come up again and again: hormone imbalance and thyroid trouble that has been called normal; digestive problems managed for years with over-the-counter remedies; allergies and autoimmune conditions; fatigue and mood or memory changes; stubborn weight that has not moved on diet alone; and chronic pain somebody has run out of answers for.

Serving Roswell and the North Atlanta Area

Our office is at 1130 Upper Hembree Rd in Roswell, GA 30076, just off Highway 92 and a short drive from GA 400. Patients come to us from Alpharetta, Marietta, Johns Creek, Milton and across the north metro, and a number travel in from well beyond it. Dr. Ravello is currently accepting new patients.
