Therapeutic Massage Therapy in Roswell, GA

      What Is Therapeutic Massage?

Medical Breakthrough 7 Plus full-body massage chair, the model used for therapeutic massage sessions in Roswell, GA

Therapeutic massage eases muscle tension, supports circulation and helps you unwind. At Natural Medical Solutions Wellness Center in Roswell, GA it is delivered by a massage device rather than by hand, within a whole-person, naturopathic approach to comfort and stress relief.

Whether you’re carrying stress in your shoulders, recovering from everyday strain, or simply need to unwind, therapeutic massage is a restorative, drug-free way to feel better in your body.

To be plain about what this is: we do not have a massage therapist and we do not offer hands-on manual massage. Massage here is delivered by equipment, and we have two very different pieces of it. You stay fully clothed for both. That suits some people better than hands-on work and suits others less, which is worth knowing before you book.

      The Two Devices

      The Massage Table

The jade roller and infrared massage table, used fully clothed, at Natural Medical Solutions in Roswell, GA

A table you lie on face-up. It scans the length of your spine first, then works along it with jade rollers and infrared warmth, adjusting to what the scan finds rather than running the same pass on everyone. The jade is not decorative: stone holds and radiates heat steadily, which is what keeps the warmth even across a whole session instead of fading. Most people describe it as firm rather than gentle, and warm throughout. Our post on Corrective Massage Therapy describes a session in detail.

      The Massage Chair

A Medical Breakthrough 7 Plus, ours upholstered in brown rather than the black you will see in most photographs of it. It is a full-body chair with an L-track roller system that runs from the neck all the way down to the glutes, rather than stopping at the lower back the way shorter-track chairs do. Air compression cuffs work the legs, feet, arms and hands at the same time, so it reaches a good deal more of you than the table does.

Before a session it runs a body scan and adjusts the roller positions to your height and shape. That is a fitting step rather than an assessment: it works out where your shoulders and hips are so the rollers land in the right places. It does not measure anything about your health, and nothing it produces is a diagnostic result.

The compression comes from 167 air cells spread through the chair, which is what lets it squeeze the calves and forearms rather than only pressing on them. What you can adjust: intensity and depth, heat, the recline including a zero-gravity position that takes the load off the spine, a full-body stretch programme, and leg extensions for your height. There is Bluetooth if you want your own music through it. Most people find the reclined position noticeably more comfortable than sitting upright. Everything is set before you start and can be changed partway through, and the stretch and hip-twist programmes are worth trying once before you decide whether you like them.

Which one suits you depends on what you came in for. The table is the more targeted of the two and concentrates on the spine and back. The chair covers more ground and is the better choice for tired legs, general tension or simply winding down. If you are not sure, say so and we will point you at the right one, or you can try both across two visits.

Our wellness center also offers infrared sauna, which people often pair with a session.

What to Expect During Your Massage

You stay fully clothed throughout, on either device. We talk through what you want from the session and any areas to avoid, get you settled and set the intensity, and you are left in privacy for the session itself. Sessions are calm and there is no downtime afterward. Tell us straight away if anything is uncomfortable rather than seeing it through — the intensity is adjustable on both, and equipment cannot tell that you are wincing.

      Benefits of Therapeutic Massage

People choose massage to help support:

      • Relief from muscle tension, tightness and everyday aches
      • Stress reduction and a calmer nervous system
      • Healthy circulation and a feeling of lightness
      • Better rest and overall relaxation
      • Recovery support as part of a broader wellness plan

Therapeutic massage is a complementary wellness therapy meant to support relaxation and comfort, not to diagnose, treat or cure any condition. It sits alongside our natural pain management approach rather than replacing any part of it.

      Is Massage Right for You?

Most people find it comfortable and enjoyable. Tell us first if any of the following apply, because equipment applies pressure it cannot feel you flinch from, and that matters more here than with a pair of hands.

      • Pregnancy
      • Osteoporosis, a recent fracture, or fragile bones
      • A spinal condition, disc problem, or recent back or neck surgery
      • A pacemaker, defibrillator or other implanted device
      • A blood-clotting disorder, or anticoagulant medication
      • A known or suspected blood clot, deep vein thrombosis, or significant varicose veins — this one matters particularly for the chair, which compresses the legs
      • Reduced sensation in the limbs, including diabetic neuropathy, since you may not feel pressure that is too high
      • Recent surgery or injury anywhere, or any area that is painful, inflamed, bruised or has broken skin
      • Uncontrolled high blood pressure or a recent cardiac event

None of these is automatically a no. Several just mean a lower intensity, a shorter session, or the table rather than the chair. Ask before booking rather than after.
