Welcome, and congratulations on taking a proactive step toward your health. At Natural Medical Solutions Wellness Center in Roswell, GA, your first visit is different from a rushed conventional appointment. We take the time to understand your full story and build a personalized, root-cause plan rooted in naturopathic, functional and holistic medicine. Here's exactly what to expect.
What to Expect at Your First Visit
- 1
We Listen First
You'll have unhurried time to share your health history, symptoms, lifestyle and goals, the details that usually get overlooked.
- 2
Root-Cause Review
We look at how your systems connect, gut, hormones, thyroid, blood sugar, stress and nutrition, to find what's really driving your symptoms.
- 3
Targeted Testing
When helpful, we recommend functional lab testing that goes beyond standard panels to uncover imbalances early.
- 4
Your Personalized Plan
You'll leave with clear, realistic next steps, nutrition, lifestyle and natural support tailored to you, coordinated with your existing care.
How to Prepare
- Write down your top health concerns and goals.
- Note your symptoms, when they started, and what affects them.
- List current medications and supplements (with doses).
- Jot down questions you'd like answered.
What to Bring
- Photo ID and any insurance information.
- Recent lab work or imaging results, if available.
- A list of your medications and supplements.
- Any prior records relevant to your concerns.
Our Approach to Care
We practice naturopathic, functional and holistic medicine, treating you as a whole person rather than a set of isolated symptoms. What Happens After the First Visit
The first appointment produces a direction, not a finished plan.
What follows depends on what we found.
- If testing was ordered, turnaround varies by panel. Blood work
is usually quick; stool, hormone and environmental panels take longer. We will tell
you what to expect when we order it.
- You will hear about results either way. Normal results still get
explained, because "nothing showed up" is information and it changes what we look at
next.
- Follow-up visits are shorter than the first and focus on what
has actually changed. Bring anything you have been tracking.
- Most changes take weeks, not days. Sleep and digestion often
shift first. Anything hormonal or thyroid-related takes longer, and we retest rather
than guess.
Getting the Most From Your First Appointment
- Write down your three biggest concerns before you come. Under pressure, people
reliably forget the one that matters most.
- Bring recent lab work, especially anything that came back normal while you still
felt unwell. Those results are often the most useful thing in the folder.
- List medications and supplements with doses, including the ones you take
occasionally.
- Say what you have already tried and what happened. It saves repeating something
that did not work.
- Be honest about what you will realistically keep up. A plan you abandon in a
fortnight helps nobody.
Working With Your Other Doctors
We work alongside the physicians you already see rather than in
place of them. If you are on prescription medication, that stays between you and the
prescriber, and we will not suggest stopping anything. Tell your other providers what
you are taking from us, particularly supplements and herbs, since some interact with
prescription drugs. If you would like results shared with them, just ask.
Insurance & Payment
Coverage depends on your plan and the services provided. Visit our Finances & Insurance page or call (770) 674-6311 and our team will gladly walk you through your options before your first visit.
