Payment Options
Understand the cost of your care before you begin
Cost and how you will pay for treatment are fair questions. We want you to understand your options, expected visit fees and potential testing costs before making decisions about your care.
Visit Fee Guide
Initial visit
Average follow-up
These amounts are a guide rather than a quote. Laboratory fees and other testing, when needed, are separate.
Your Cost Journey
Know what happens before you spend
Care should not feel financially mysterious. Move through the four stages to see where costs typically enter the process.
Before Your Visit
Understand the starting cost
Your initial consultation is $195. Before additional testing is ordered, you should understand what it is intended to answer and what it is expected to cost.
Ways to Pay

Insurance
Check your out-of-network benefits
Call the number on the back of your insurance card and ask whether out-of-network provider visits are reimbursed, what your out-of-network deductible is, and whether laboratory work ordered by an out-of-network provider is covered.
Insurance
Does insurance cover naturopathic care?
It depends on your plan and the service being provided. Coverage for naturopathic and functional medicine varies widely between carriers. Conventional laboratory work may be reimbursed more often than specialty functional testing.
Ask Your Insurance Company
Three questions to ask
Are out-of-network provider visits reimbursed?
What is my out-of-network deductible?
Is laboratory work ordered by an out-of-network provider covered?
Your First Appointment
What your first visit includes
The initial appointment is longer than a conventional visit because it is designed to understand the larger picture of your health.
If functional testing makes sense, we explain what the test is intended to answer and discuss expected cost before anything is ordered.
A detailed health history
Review of current symptoms
Medication and supplement review
Discussion of what you have already tried
Testing recommendations when appropriate
Cost discussion before testing is ordered
Laboratory fees are billed by the laboratory and are not included in the visit fee. Expected costs should be discussed before you commit to testing.
Planning Your Care
Ways to make care more manageable
Use HSA or FSA funds
These funds can often be used for naturopathic visits and laboratory work.
Consider CareCredit
Financing may help eligible patients spread healthcare costs over time.
Ask about Healthshare reimbursement
Healthshare plans, including Liberty Healthshare, may reimburse some naturopathic care.
Prioritize your care
If budget is tight, tell us. Testing and treatment can be sequenced so the most useful steps come first.
