You lie fully clothed on the table. The scan takes a couple of minutes, then the rollers travel the length of the spine while infrared warmth works into the surrounding tissue. Most people describe it as firm rather than gentle, and warm throughout. There is no downtime afterwards.
The jade is not decorative. Stone holds and radiates heat steadily, which is what lets the warmth stay even across a whole session rather than fading.

The table is not the only piece of equipment here. We also have a Medical Breakthrough 7 Plus massage chair, with an L-track roller system running from the neck to the glutes and air compression for the legs, feet, arms and hands. It covers considerably more of you than the table does, adds heat, a zero-gravity recline and a stretch programme, and is usually the better choice for tired legs, general tension or winding down. It is consistent in a way a person cannot be, covers the whole spine every time, and the pressure does not vary with how tired the therapist is. What it cannot do is notice that one shoulder is guarding, or ease off because something felt wrong. Those are things a therapeutic massage therapist does without being asked.
Neither is better. They answer different questions, and plenty of people use both.
Tell us beforehand if you are pregnant, have a blood clot or a clotting disorder, uncontrolled high blood pressure, a fever, an active skin infection, osteoporosis, recent surgery, or any implanted device such as a pacemaker. Some of those mean we adapt the session. Some mean we leave it for another day, and we would rather know before you are on the table.
